Daily Tidbit: This Day in History

On October 26th, 1960, Martin Luther King, Jr. was sentenced to four months in jail for a sit-in demonstration. Considering recent events surrounding civil rights issues including but not limited to the Black Lives Matter movement and the standoff at Standing Rock, reflect on your own experiences.

What is a consequence you have face for defending the rights/livelihood of someone else or yourself? If you haven’t ever faced a consequence, why do you think that is?
