Daily Tidbit: Mindfulness

What is mindfulness? According to Mindful, mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us. It has roots in Buddhist traditions of meditation, but research has shown mindfulness to have actual physiological benefits for our brains! UCLA has its own Mindful Awareness Research Center (MARC) which offers free guided meditations and mindfulness workshops.
