When it comes to Californians, Gov. Gavin Newsom recently announced that the current mask mandate will be lifted come June 15th. The only exception would be in cases of large-scale events.
This comes in the midst of new guidelines allowing fully vaccinated folks to be without their masks in indoor gatherings with other vaccinated individuals.
Eighteen states have announced the lifting of their own mask mandates even sooner than the California date.
As we move closer to “normal”, being mindful is key. Wearing masks when surrounded by others in public spaces and social distancing should continue as a precautionary measure.
