What’s Happening: Presentism – How do we engage with the Now?

As we are beginning to wrap up the academic year, it is sad to say that my time spent with the interns is also wrapping up. However, I am excited to report that the publication of our annual literary magazine is right on track! Every year, the Writing Success Program publishes a literary magazine intended to be a compilation of works from the UCLA community. The purpose of this project is to utilize WSP’s platform as an established entity on campus to uplift and empower the many voices that make up this community. It is the role of the interns to curate, design, and publish this work. This year, the magazine’s theme is Presentism: How do we engage with the now? With this theme, we hope students take the chance to reflect on the ways in which they interact with themselves given the current state of the world. Today, I am excited to share the cover of this year’s magazine. I hope you all are just as excited to read through it as we are to publish it!
